James Leroy Moore

Moore, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at the age of 75. Dear son of the late James Charles and Maurice Moore; deovted father of Joy (Robert) Harter and Janet (Harold) Stroud; beloved grandfather of Steven (Jamie) Grimes, Rachel Grimes, Joshua Grimes, Lauren Grimes and Jeffrey Stroud; dear brother of Charles Edward Moore, Sr. James was employed as a Manager at McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft/Midcoast Aviation for 16 years before his retirement. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, graduated from St. Charles Borromeo Grade School in 1948; graduated St. Peters Catholic School/St. Charles HS 1952; attended Kirksville Teacher's College; worked for McDonnell Douglas Corp; Emerson Electric; Midcoast Aviation, Schlitt's Malt Liqueor aircraft -"The Bull"; Anheuser Busch's aircraft "Snoopy" and "The Red Baron"; Monsanto Lier Jets, Malincrodt Lier Jets. He also served in the United States of America Army Rangers - 109th Division (1953-1955) and received the National Defense Service Medal Army of Occupation Medal Expert - Germany.
