Piel; son of the late William Rudolph and Beatrice Frances Piel; devoted father of James R. Piel, Jr. (Brenda), Ann McNew (Bob) and the late Stephen Joseph Piel; dear brother of John V. Piel (Betty), Beatrice Lowery (Milford), Clare Meyer, Patricia Besmer (Lawrence), Eileen Breier (John) and the late William Piel, Robert Piel, Thomas Piel and Elizabeth Friedhoff ; dear grandfather of Victoria Lorraine, Jaclyn, Rebecca & Robbie Piel, and Stephen & Anthony Westhoff; dear great-grandfather of Hailey, Amber & Aubrey. He was our dear Brother-in-law, Uncle, Great Uncle and Cousin. Mr. Piel was the owner-operator of Piel Concrete, Inc., O’Fallon, MO for 22 years before his retirement. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and a member Cement Masons Local #527.
