James Michael Rhoades

James “Mike” Rhoades, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the age of 78. Loving husband of Gloria Rhoades; beloved son of the late Floyd and Dorothy I. Rhoades; devoted father of Shannon (Jim) Ebeling, and Scott (Brandi) Rhoades; cherished grandfather of Jake Pigg, Paige Pigg, and Grant Rhoades. Mike is also preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Rhoades.

Mike proudly served his country for the United States Army for two years; one year serving combat in Vietnam. He was in the 25th infantry division and was a part of Tropic Lightning. His career involved precision work on the wings of the F18 E and serving as a flight simulator. He was happily married to his wife, Gloria, for 58 wonderful years, and together they shared a love for traveling, visiting wineries, and gardening. Mike had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as fishing, hunting, and tending to his garden. Known for his strong will, keen attention to detail, and protective nature, he also had a great sense of humor. Mike was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
