With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle James Robert Boro of Florissant, MO on January 19, 2021 at the age of 76.
Cherished son of the late Daniel and Dorothy Boro (nee Theising) devoted father of Stacey Will (Michael) and Danielle Boro; loving grandfather of Heather Burns (Mark) and Gavin Peraino; treasured great-grandfather of Presley and Amelia; dear brother of the late Judith (Jack) Mealey, Janet (late Russell) Zachritz. Beloved Godfather to Karen Bowes, Mary Eileen Taylor, Julia Zachritz, Tommy Craig, and the late Gerard Slavik. Loving uncle, cousin and a dear friend to many.
James played high school football and graduated in 1962 from DeAndries Catholic High School. He also attended Florissant Community College.
James proudly served in the United States Army. He was a member of Teamsters Local 618 and retired from Chrysler Parts Distribution. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Sabina Parish. He truly loved his family, and aside from being Dad, he assisted in coaching softball for his daughters. James loved being Pawpaw Jim to his and grandkids and great grandchildren and was very proud of each and every one of them. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling and was active with the St. Ferdinand Men’s club. In his pastime, he enjoyed watching sports and having a Jack and Diet Coke with friends! “Jim” “Jimbo” "Jimmy" had a silly sense of humor and was loved by many. James will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in James's name to
Stray Rescue and
