James J. Rospenda

James J. Rospenda, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Francine Rospenda; cherished son of the late Bruno and Irene Rospenda; devoted father of Dawn (Chris) Schneider and Karen Rospenda; loving grandfather of Abby Schneider; brother-in-law of Louise Tindle. 

James was a man who brought joy and laughter wherever he went, always finding ways to lighten the mood with his playful sense of humor. A true jokester at heart, he had a gift for making those around him smile. James had a deep love for his loyal dogs, Maggie and Cupcake, who were constant companions in his life. He enjoyed unwinding in front of the TV, whether watching sports, Westerns, home improvement shows, or his favorite classics like The Three Stooges and John Wayne movies. 

James was never one to sit idle—his passion for creating and woodworking kept him busy, often at one of the two workbenches in his garage. He found joy in tinkering, building, and fixing things, always staying engaged with his hands and imagination. Above all, James adored his children, especially his daughters, always finding ways to show them how much they meant to him, whether through gifts or his constant thoughts of them. His love and pride extended to his granddaughter, Abby, whom he cherished dearly. 

James was also proud of his white Camaro with black pinstripes, a symbol of his love for cars, and his days with the Chicago Royal-Airs Drum and Bugle Corps, where he played the big bass drum with great pride. James will be remembered for his big heart, his endless creativity, and the love he shared with his family. 

James was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James' name to St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center. The family would also like everyone to know that lunch will be provided during the visitation.
