James S. “Jim” Busby, of St. Peters, Missouri, received the sacraments when he passed away Monday, November 5, 2018, at the age of 75. Loving husband of 53 years to Lyn Busby; beloved son of the late Albert and Lorine Busby; devoted father of Gina (Edward) Lanier; cherished grandfather of Samantha Miller, Zachary Lanier, and Emily (Cody) Wymore; treasured great-grandfather of Kaelyn Miller; dearest brother of Robert (Mary) Busby, Bill (Helen) Busby, and the late Albert Busby; and brother-in-law of Arlene Busby. Jim is also survived by his grandpup, Maddie. He was greeted at the gates of heaven by Jesus and his dear late grandpup, Tessie.
Jim proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. He retired from Proctor & Gamble after working more than 40 years in the sales industry. He was a lifetime member of the Monks Club, and they did various acts of charity throughout the community.
Jim loved watching all sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. He played football, baseball, basketball, racquetball, bowling, and he wrestled, and was good at all of them. Jim also enjoyed coaching his daughter's softball and racquetball teams.
Jim’s favorite pastimes were fishing, golfing, and going to the beach with his family. He loved to take his family to the beach on vacation in Sarasota, Florida and also to Destin. He adored his family and was devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Jim was truly one of a kind, and there was no one else like him on earth. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
