James "Jim" David Schumacher was born in Overland, Missouri. He passed away on July 11, 2024 in Louisville, Kentucky. Jim was adopted as a baby by his parents, Theodore Edward Schumacher and Edna Marie Schumacher, of O'Fallon, Missouri. He graduated from Fort Zumwalt Highschool and went on to attend Truman State University to play basketball. After college, James moved to Oklahoma to work in the oilfield where he frequently returned over the years to visit two of his daughters. In October of 1994, Jim began his work at Lear Corporation. He spent a majority of the next 30 years employed with Lear Corp where he served at eight plants located throughout the United States and Europe. He lived many places and touched many lives all around the country and world, but his home was always in St. Louis. Jim was a lifelong sports enthusiast and could often be found attending live sporting events in his spare time. Through his travels he became a fan of many sports teams but his favorites were always the St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, St. Louis Rams, St. Louis Blues, and the Missouri Tigers. In more recent years, Jim could be found spending his time outside of work in Louisville with his girlfriend, Melva, in St. Louis or the Lake of the Ozarks, or on one of his many adventures to Oklahoma to visit his grandkids.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Edna Schumacher of O'Fallon, Missouri, and brothers Dennis and Charles Schumacher. He is survived by three daughters, Annie Wiley and her husband Jhonathan, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Jaime Crow and her husband Brandon, of Norman, Oklahoma, daughter Lacey Schumacher, his significant other Melva Pete of St. Charles, Missouri, grandsons, Jhonathan, Graham, and Ellis, and granddaughters, Finley, Saylor, and Collins, and numerous friends scattered around the country and world.
