James "Jim" Edward Simpson

Warrenton, Missouri

James “Jim” Edward Simpson passed away on July 26, 2023 surrounded with love in his home in Warrenton, MO. He had recently moved to Missouri from Madison, Indiana to live with his daughter and her husband. Jim was a very gracious, and loving man who adored his family. He was fiercely protective of those he loved and routinely put their needs before his own. He served his country during the Korean War, earning the rank of Corporal. Jim married Suzanne on November 13, 1985. He was the father to a son, Kevin, daughter, Melissa, and stepfather to Charles, Austin and Kirsten. He was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren who called him ”Bumpa Jim”, Gramps, or just plain Grandpa.

He was an avid rock collector, and bird watcher. He was incredibly knowledgeable and loved to learn even without a formal education.
