James W. Roben

Roben, James W., of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the age of 72. Devoted husband of Lois J. Roben (nee: Cauley); beloved son of the late Walter W. and Lois H. Roben; ; devoted father of Laurie Leiber, Jennifer (George) Harmon, and Eric (Susan) Roben; dear step-father of Scott (Sheila) Clements, Steven (Jane Basel) Clements, and David (Mary) Clements; cherished grandfather of James, Michael, Christopher, Ryan, Kori, Caitlin, Hannah and Colin; cherished step-grandfather of Justin, Jessica, Jennifer, Angela, Andy and Amelia; treasured great-grandfather of 9, and dear brother of Nancy Roben. He is preceded in death by his adoptive father, Edward Sailer.
James was a member of St. Charles Sister Cities Club, St. Charles German Heritage Club and the St. Peter's Senior Center. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and playing bridge with his bridge club. He also enjoyed dabbling in real estate; buying, selling and renting. He was President of the Braewood Villas Homeowners Association.
