YOUNG SR., James William,Sunday, November 30, 2003, went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife Mae Alice, dear son James William Jr., sisters Estelle (Jack) McCormick and Violet, great-granddaughter Carol Lynn Olson, his parents and other loved ones preceding him in death. Jim was born on April 16, 1916, to James B. Young and Clara Young (nee Lehbold) of St. Louis, MO., and married Mae Alice Johnson on March 9, 1935. He served in the Navy during WWII as a crew member of L.S.T. 592, U.S. Navy Amphibious Forces. He was retired from Monsanto Chemical Company after 35 years. He is survived by daughter Carolyn and husband Frank Knight, Granbury Texas and their sons Jason Byerley and Philip Knight; son Gerold Lee Young and wife Jeanne, Oak Grove, MO, their sons and grandchild, Brian Young and his daughter Lindsay, David and Michael Young; daughter-in-law Virginia (James Jr.) Young and her son Don Hill, daughter Terry Hill; daughter Shannon Olson and husband Ron and their children Alex and Lily. He is also survived by his sisters Bernice (Tom) Gardner and Virginia (Joe) Froehly; sister-in-law Marceline (Jim) Archey, Helen (Bob) Matejka, Bessie (Don) Sudemeyer, and brother-in-law Edward (Betty) Johnson; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
