Jane J. Jefferson (nee: McMenamy) died on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Charles T. 'Pat' Jefferson; loving sister of Robert C. (Charlene) McMenamy. Dear aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents Cletus J. And Marie McMenamy (nee: Ohman). One brother Norman J. 'Mick' (Gladys) McMenamy, and sisters, Elizabeth M. 'Bette' (Charles) Sanders, Martha B. (Henry) Schimweg. Nieces and nephews, David Schimweg, Paul Schimweg, Michael (Mary) Patrick and Karen Sanders, and Jane Knight also several great nieces and nephews.
A native of St. Charles , MO, she graduated from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and practiced her profession for 40 years in the States of Wisconsin, Virginia and Missouri. She held offices in the St. Louis Society of Health Systems Pharmacy in Missouri and offices in Wisconsin. She served on local and National Pharmacy Committees, wrote, published and presented Papers to Physicians and Pharmacists on various aspects of Hospital Pharmacy and Health Care Management Concepts.
She received a double Master's degree from Webster University in Health Services Management and Human Relations. She began a Faith based Cancer Support Group through her Parish, St. Cletus Catholic Church. Special appointments Synod-10 Archdiocese of St. Louis, Education Committee, Missouri Hospital Association '“Mental Health Committee, Teaching Associated, College of Pharmacy, University of Missouri, Kansas City and St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
She received certification and taught PSAR classes a t St. Peter Parish St. Charles MO. Spent one month on invitation to visit hospitals in India. She was gifted with the ability to create and design and drew up plans for two Hospital Pharmacies from the Blue Print Stage. She continued her creativity in the home that she purchased and assisted with the design in Virginia. From her Pharmacy background and her desire to continue that creativity, she loved to cook and bake for relatives, friends, and neighbors. She stated that it reminded her of her compounding days as a pharmacist which she loved. In her dedication to education, she supported the beginning of foundation efforts of SAMAS (SPARK) which is a playground for the mind of children ages 7-17 in Dallas Texas. A hands-on access to the Arts, Painting, Sculpture, Architecture, Culinary, Wood working, Music and more.
