Jane Klinghammer
March 4, 1956 — December 30, 2021
Jane Martha Klinghammer, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the age of 65 after a nearly 18 year battle with cancer. Devoted mother of Jenna (Matt) Hodges, Lacey (Tom) Anderson and Elesha (James Fullerton) Klinghammer; beloved daughter of Alene D. Plackemeier; loving grandmother of Thomas Anderson, Brooke Anderson, Warren Hodges and 1 grandchild on the way; dear sister of Barb Lash, Robert (Luanne) Plackemeier and Ellen (Joseph) Mercante; aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her father, Arthur W. Plackemeier and her husband of 28 years, Thomas “Tom” Klinghammer. Jane met Tom in St. Charles and they were lovingly married until he passed away in December 2011. She loved to spend time with her family. They visited the Black River Lodge each year in August, staying in their same cabin for decades. Jane also looked forward to the annual Memorial Day weekend reunion with the Plackemeier family at Washington State Park. Jane was passionate about softball and was involved in the sport throughout her life. She was a board member of St. Charles Junior Baseball and Softball Association and coached little league for many years. She also played on a slow-pitch softball team. She was a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was proud to start Tom’s Girls Boutique with her daughter, Lacey, in 2014. Jane was a member of VFW Auxiliary to Post 4219 Orchard Farm. She could always be found crafting, crocheting, and gardening. “Wiener dogs” were her favorite and she kept one as a pet throughout her entire adult life. Most recently, Annie was very special to her for the past 14 years. Jane was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made in Jane's name to the Generations Campaign at Immanuel Lutheran Church St. Charles.
