Janet L. Southmayd

Janet L. Southmayd, (nee: Flickinger) of Florissant, MO, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016, at the age of 57. Loving wife of 34 years to Randy A. Southmayd; beloved daughter of Wayne E. Flickinger and the late Rosalie A. Flickinger; devoted mother of Katie (Brian) Bayley and Melissa Southmayd; cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Bennett, and Eleanor Bayley; and dear sister of Judy (David) Heuring, Tom (Rose) Flickinger, Tim (Amy) Flickinger, and the late Cindy Flickinger. She was a loving aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Janet was a flight attendant for more than 36 years, and retired from American Airlines. She was a very outgoing person who never met a stranger. She enjoyed cross-stitching and making Christmas stockings for family members. She loved helping others and volunteering through community service.  Janet’s favorite holiday was Christmas, and loved planning and hosting parties. She was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
