Janet M. Geile, of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the age of 84. Loving wife of the late Harold Geile; beloved daughter of the late Ray Ann and George Alto Thayer; devoted mother of Vicky (Larry) Bowman and Beverly (Mark) Boehle; cherished grandmother of Lauren (Kyle) Verhoff, Lindsay Bowman, Megan (Chris) Stine, Kara (Kyle) Wortmann, and Nick Boehle; treasured great grandmother of Sydney Verhoff, Simon Wortmann, Emmett Verhoff, Steven Wortmann, and Lucy Wortmann; dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Janet was also preceded in death by her siblings, Harris Thayer, Virginia (Richard) Riney, and Joan (Wayne) Bauwens; and her brother-in-law, Robert (Jackie) Geile.
For most of her life, Janet was a homemaker, and she truly enjoyed taking care of her family. To her grandchildren she was the best grandma in the world, and she always made sure they looked their best. She was also dedicated to attending their activities and sporting events.
Janet had a great sense of humor, and she enjoyed life to the fullest. She and her husband traveled the world, took on the sites from cruise ships, and visited Tunica several times. She was also able to take all of her grandchildren to Disney World, which was a magical time they will never forget.
In her spare time, Janet liked to read romance and mystery novels. She looked forward to a good shopping trip, and stopping by Costco to grab a hotdog for lunch. She also loved to listen to Patsy Cline and could often be found singing her tunes around the house.
Janet will be remembered for her sweet nature and fun, outgoing personality. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
