Janet M. “Jan” Davis

Janet M. “Jan” Davis of St. Charles, MO, passed away on Jan. 7, 2016 peacefully in her sleep at the age of 78. She passed away at home - her most favorite place in the world. Beloved wife of William (Bill) T. Davis; devoted mother of Mary Joan (Tracy) Everhart and Susan Davis; loving grandmother of Robert, Julianna and Andrew Everhart and Amanda and Michael Weissinger. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Susan Wagner; by her siblings John, Kermit(Isabelle) Wagner, Ralph(Verona) Wagner, Eleanor(“Bluie”) Saxe.

She was born September 12, 1937 in Portage Wisconsin. Jan graduated high school in Portage WI and went on to work for the FBI in Milwaukee, WI. Jan met the love of her life, William (Bill) T. Davis. They were married on June 2, 1962. Jan loved her venture in life with Bill and together they had a life full of love. Everyday Bill and Jan loved each other as if it was the first day they had met and fallen in love. Jan was a devoted wife, mother, Grammy, and business advisor for her family. Jan and Bill managed their construction and real estate company together for 36 years. Her hobbies were reading romance novels, bird watching, crossword / word puzzles and enjoying her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in St. Charles and First Capital Republican Women’s Club.
