Janice Darlene McGlasson (nee Feagan), of St. Charles, Missouri passed away on October 12, 2020 at the age of 79. Loving wife of the late John Richard McGlasson; beloved daughter of the late Paul Jones and Pauline Virginia (nee Hughes) Feagan; devoted mother of Richard Dean (Laura) McGlasson and Douglas Quinn (Stacy) McGlasson; cherished grandmother of Brittney Nicole (nee McGlasson) Naumann, Caylee Renee McGlasson, Brooke Darlene McGlasson, and Carina Rebecca McGlasson, and great grandson William James Naumann. Janice is preceded in death by her brother Paul George Feagan.
Janice was a fun loving and spirited person who was born in the small mining town of Picher, Oklahoma, eventually settling in St. Charles, Missouri with her parents. She graduated from St. Charles High in 1959, and from St. Mary’s College in 1974 with a nursing degree. Janice worked at St. Joseph Hospital in the ICU until she retired. Throughout her life she drove sporty vehicles including a ‘57 Chevy convertible, a 1978 Corvette with the license plate “CJAN-GO”, and later in life a powered wheelchair that she drove way too fast in the nursing home! Janice loved shopping and sports including golf and bowling, winning a Missouri State Tournament. She was always there for her sons, keeping stats on the bench, driving to games and practices, and supporting them through the good and bad times in their lives. She was the glue of her family and will be sorely missed.
Memorials may be made in Janice’s name to
National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
