Janis Miller

Janis Kay Miller (nee Peters), of St. Peters, MO, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024 at the age of 77. Cherished daughter of the late Wilbert “Whip” and Mabel Peters; devoted mother of Michele D. (Terry) Tillotson and Amy L. (Nathan) Barnhart; loving grandmother of Taylor Ritchey, Abigail (Justin) Dirden, Alexander Tillotson, Emilee Wolford, Camille Tillotson and Courtney Wolford; step-grandmother of Avery Barnhart and Peyton Barnhart; treasured great-grandmother of Easton, Maverick, Kinleigh, Hallie and Colton; dear sister of Ruth (Linus) Thury and Kevin (Lynn) Peters; beloved aunt, niece, cousin and friend to many.

Janis grew up in Berkeley and worked at a family-owned business, Handy Pantry, in Florissant. Later in life she worked at Watkins/Fed Ex Freight as a Customer Service Representative until her retirement. She loved dancing and was an avid St Louis Cardinal's fan, never missing a game. Janis was a private, yet selfless person. She was compassionate and caring. She donated to multiple charities. Janis’s greatest love was her family. She found joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being around the great-grandchildren always brought a smile to her face.

Janis was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Janis's name to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
