Janus Martin Mundt, of St. Peters, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Joann M. Mundt; cherished son of the late Henry and Irene Mundt; devoted father of Eric (Sandy) Mundt, Stefan (Cynthia) Mundt and Kurt (Lynette) Mundt; loving grandfather of Eric Mundt Jr., Douglas Mundt, Katelyn Mundt, Nicholas (Ellen) Mundt, Alexander (Kyrie) Mundt, Anthony (Madeline) Mundt, Kierra Mundt, and Baylee Mundt; dear brother of Henry (Erika) Mundt and Christine Schmidt; brother-in-law of Betsy Niewald; treasured uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Janus retired from Ameren (formerly Union Electric) after over 40 years of work. He had a kind and gentle demeanor and was known as a jokester who could make everyone around him laugh. In his younger years he coached soccer and enjoyed woodworking and his pastime hobby of photography. Janus was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial donations in Janus’ name may be made to Parkinson's Foundation.
