Jean Arline Conger (nee Winkler), of Lake St. Louis, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the age of 88. Loving wife of the late James C. Conger; beloved daughter of the late William and Bertha Winkler; devoted mother of Craig (Regina) Conger, Scott (Terri Jo) Conger, Sandra (Mark) Capp, and Douglas (Deborah) Conger; cherished grandmother of Amanda (Cole) Callahan, Craig (Mary) Conger, Melissa (Ian) Ross, Samantha Conger, Alex Capp, Taylor Capp, and Nicole Capp; treasured great-grandmother of Liam Callahan, James Conger, Annie Ross, Cohen Callahan, Jack Conger, Molly Ross, and Bodhi Callahan. Jean is also preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Koviak.
Jean was an active member of Living Lord Lutheran Church, involved in the Stephen Ministries, tended to the church's garden and warmly welcomed visitors as a greeter, among many other activities as the church. The parishioners and many of her family and friends cherished her fun personality and delightful sense of humor.
Jean was a passionate supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals and was a big fan of Yadier Molina, whom she named her dog after.
She always put her family first and supported them throughout life. Jean loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren who eagerly anticipated Grandma Day. She had a strong connection to lake time finding joy both at Lake St. Louis, where she resided, and during vacations at Table Rock Lake.
Jean's magnetic personality drew people close; she never considered anyone a stranger. Jean was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Although the family would love to see support at the visitation and funeral service, for those unable able to attend, please join the family for continued fellowship at the Water’s Edge for a Celebration of Life from 4:00-7:00pm.
Memorials may be made in Jean's name to Living Lord Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
