Jean Marie Hoelting (nee Kern), entered into the loving arms of our Lord on April 6, 2021. Jean was married to the love of her life, Don, for 67 ½ years and this union produced four children: Linda (Jeff) Webb; Sue (the late Dale) McFarland; Jim Hoelting (Lori) and Michael Hoelting (Karen).
Jean and Don were blessed with nine grandchildren: Jenny, Lauren, Katie, Kevin (Jessica), Leah, Erin (Trey), Amy (Craig), Michael, and Johnny (Brittney). They also enjoyed their nine great-grandchildren, Brenden, Julia, Collin, Camden, Alice, Emma and new baby sibling and Ian and Abigail.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mabel Kern, sister Patricia Pezold and brother-in-law Donald Pezold. Jean is survived by her sister, Sharon Ming and two brothers, Jerry and Wally (Judy) Kern, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jean’s best loved treasure was her family, and they were the center of her life. Jean and Don enjoyed many years of retirement and just loved spending time with their grand and great-grandchildren at their sporting games and loved taking the children fishing at Hawk Point to catch their very first fish! They also enjoyed many years of boating and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks as well as their property and sailed all over the oceans on many cruises with dear, lifelong friends.
Jean will be so missed, but we know she is healthy, happy, and loved in Heaven, playing Skip Bo with her mom and eating one of Dale’s famous BBQ hamburgers!
