Jean Marie Distler

Jean Marie Distler, (nee: Schwerzler) of St. Ann, MO, passed away Friday, September 20, 2019 at the age of 68. Cherished daughter of Jacquelyn Schwerzler and the late Armin Schwerzler; Jean is preceded in death by daughter Cheryl Lynn; devoted mother of Jennifer Kinard and Carrie Wood; loving grandmother of Kiely Nicole, Corey Michael and Kassie Lynn; treasured great-grandmother of Ethan John; dear sister of Mary L. (Jack) Wedemeier, Judy A. (Mike) Merk, John A. (Paula) Schwerzler; Jean was a loving aunt, niece, cousin, coworker and friend to many.

Jean had a creative passion and loved to crochet gifts for her family. She would make her family hats, gloves, scarves and even Cooley Cups, they would use them even though sometimes they seemed silly. Jean was a true inspiration when it came to fighting cancer over the last four years. She never complained or made anyone share her pain. Most of all Jean loved being a Grandma and spending time with her family.

She will be dearly loved and greatly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jean's name to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
