Jeanne Donovan

Jeanne M. Donovan (nee Jurgens), went to her eternal home Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Brookdale Senior Living in St. Peters, MO. She was 84 years old. Mrs. Donovan was a retired educator. She taught at all levels, but especially at the collegiate level after earning a Ph.D. in 1971. After retiring from teaching in 1995, she volunteered at St. Joachim and Ann Care Service for eighteen years and numerous ministries at her parish, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, especially the RCIA program.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Helen Jurgens, four brothers, Daniel, Francis, Hilary, and LeRoy, and one sister, Juanita. She is survived by her husband, James Donovan, her sister, Toni Dressel of O’Fallon, MO, her brother Michael (Peggy) Jurgens of Springfield, MO, and her brothers-in-law, Thomas Donovan of Belize and Leo Donovan of St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. All will miss her dearly.
