Jeffrey "Jeff" Paul Kolkmeier

Jeffrey "Jeff" Paul Kolkmeier entered eternal rest on December 1, 2023 at the age of 57. Loving husband of Deborah (Debbie) K. Kolkmeier (nee Birdsall). Proud father of Kayla (Shawn) Finklein, Jeffrey (Kelsey) Kolkmeier, Emma (Nick Scholl) Kolkmeier, and Danny Kolkmeier. Adoring grandfather (Pawpaw) of Harper Kolkmeier, Lillian Finklein, and Rylee Kolkmeier. Beloved son of Dorothy Kolkmeier. Loyal brother of Cheryl (Darrell) Benne, Wally (Kim) Kolkmeier, and Pam (Phil) Sigmund. High-spirited uncle to 12 nieces and nephews. Great uncle to 19 great nieces and nephews.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father Walter R. Kolkmeier, grandparents Walter & Pearl Kolkmeier, and Otto & Helen “Dolly” Oelklaus. He was a brother-in-law, cousin, and friend to many.

Jeff was married to his wife Debbie, for 35 years. He was raised in Frieden’s Church and eventually became a member of St. John’s UCC where he served as president, board member, dart team player, and avid parishioner. He was also a proud member of Carpenters Local 32 for 30 years, with his brother and father.

Jeff loved camping, fishing, and hunting with his family and friends. Some of his favorite destinations included Bennett Springs and Branson. Gulf Shores, The Smoky Mountains and Okinawa were some of the recent trips he took with family. He enjoyed football as he played in high school, coached many teams, and founded the Francis Howell Junior Knights program.

Jeff was notorious for his construction projects, goofy jokes and playing with his granddaughters. He loved to show up and support his family and always looked forward to Sunday supper with his kids and grandkids.

Jeff did not know a stranger and loved sharing stories with anyone he talked to. He will be missed forever by his family and friends.
