Jeffrey Ray Henry

Jeffrey Ray Henry passed away at his home in Wentzville on Saturday. He was born in Kennett, Missouri September 1, 1958, and died on July 23, 2016 at the age of 57. He was a Regional Manager in the International Division of Hunter Engineering Co. of St. Louis, and in that capacity worked in more than 50 countries around the world.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years Patricia Maria (Montes de Oca) Henry and three sons: Jeffrey A. Henry and Alexander R. Henry of St. Louis, and Benjamin T. Henry of Wentzville. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Ray Henry of Hillsboro.

He is preceded in death by a brother, David E. Henry and is survived by one brother Frederick Marcus Henry (Rubi) of Fort Mill, SC. Also surviving are a nephew, David G. Henry (Denisse) of Charlotte, NC and a niece, Helene (Spencer) Touchberry of Fort Mill, SC.

He was a graduate of Jefferson College and also attended the University of Missouri Columbia. After graduation from college he established a marine electronics business in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, and as one of his life’s most memorable events survived a direct hit of Hurricane Gilbert aboard a small yacht in the Gulf of Mexico.

He was active in the Wentzville community with the athletic teams of his sons and often coached their baseball and soccer teams. He was a fan of both the St. Louis Cardinals and the Blues Hockey teams whose games he frequently attended with his family.

He enjoyed meeting people and made friends wherever he went.
