Jennifer Alter-Rieken

Jennifer Alter-Rieken (nee Pugh), of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the age of 43. Loving wife of David Rieken; beloved daughter of Catherine Reiners; devoted mother of Jackson Alter and Freya Rieken; dear sister of Krystal, Samantha, and the late Christopher. Jenn is also survived by her fur babies, Bismarck, Violet and Sansa. 

Jennifer graduated from the University of California – Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in English in 2002. She then pursued her law degree at the University of Missouri – Columbia and graduated in May 2006 with a Juris Doctorate. Following her graduation, Jennifer started her own law firm and has been serving the St. Louis area for over 17 years.  

Jennifer loved music and going to concerts, she especially liked indie rock and Dave Matthews Band. She was an avid reader who enjoyed going to microbreweries and taking road trips. Above all things, she loved to spend time with her family and beloved pets. Jennifer was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
