Jenny Scheffler passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior, surrounded by her loving family, on November 20, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Baker, to whom she was married for 20 years. They had two children: Glenda (Baker) Bradley and Terry Baker. Jenny married Dale Scheffler on November 25, 1978. Dale's first wife, Doris, went to live with her Lord in December 1977.
Beloved wife of her husband, Dale; loving mother of Glenda (Norb) Bradley of Michigan, Terry Baker of Missouri, Steve (Laura Lee) Scheffler of Iowa, and Bill Scheffler of Wisconsin; cherished grandmother of Lora (Scott) Schultz and Susie (Joe) Benjamin of Michigan, Julie Baker, Jon (Kathleen) Baker, Jason Baker, and Brent of Missouri, Jeff (Sherry) Scheffler and Heather Scheffler of Iowa, who were all the pride of her life. She had 16 great-grandchildren: Nate (Rachel) Schultz, Taylor Schultz, Rachel Schultz, Dayna Benjamin, Casey Benjamin, Jonathon Benjamin, Allie Benjamin, Brittany Benjamin, Gabe Benjamin, Brendon Baker, Shane Baker, Kyra Baker, Gina Scheffler, Bret Scheffler, Suki Scheffler, and Logan Scheffler; and dear friend to many including Ross and Jan Collins, George and Hope Hayden, Elmer and Carol Powell, Donna Wheeler, and Mark and Lori Finifrock.
The daughter of Raif and Flora Roe, Jenny was born in Winslow, Indiana on December 14, 1919. God directed Jenny and Dale to meet, fall in love, and live their golden years together. They would have been married 35 years on November 25. Jenny was active in the church through the years, working in the children's programs and as a leader in the Women's ministries. She worked at the Sporting News and Dr. John Medler. When she and Dale were married she began learning to be a pastor's wife. While Jenny was short in stature, she was BIG in love, and was loved by all.
