Jerome “Jerry” S. Sievert, age 65, passed away at his home in St. Charles, Missouri, Saturday, March 8, 2025. He was surrounded by family and love.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Verna (nee Fels), children Marie, Victoria (Joshua), Zachary (Stephanie), Jacqueline (Bryan), and Mackenzie. His mother, Betty (nee Longhofer), siblings, Joan, Janet, Jeff, and Jay. His grandchildren Kaydence, Landon, Lucas, Kynzie, Steven, and Franklin. Many friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, and unofficial family. He was preceded in death by his father Robert, daughter Samantha, and granddaughter Kristi May.
Jerry grew up in Hazelwood, with many lifelong friends, playing soccer, baseball, and football. He graduated from Hazelwood West and played soccer for a short time at Florissant Valley Community College.
He fostered a love for soccer that grew into a passion for playing, coaching, and refereeing. Jerry passed the love of sports onto his children and grandchildren. He was an incredible father and spent his time on the field with his kids throughout their childhoods. Without fail Jerry showed up. He was the most reliable, silly, hardworking, sarcastic, and mischievous dad. He and Verna spent 43 years together laughing, raising their children, and spending time making memories. Their door was always open, and they became pseudo parents to many of the kids that frequented their home. He was affectionately known to many as JerBear or Coach Jerry.
Jerry will be missed by so many, and his love will live on through all those that knew him.
