Jerry R. Blankenship

Jerry R. Blankenship, of Azle, TX, formerly of Foristell, MO, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022 at the age of 82.  Loving husband of the late Carole L. Blankenship; beloved son of the late Ruel Blankenship and the late Pearl Asbery; devoted father of Robin (Doug) Crosthwait, Kimberly (Tracy) Wright, and Michelle (Jim) Stenborg; cherished grandfather of Lantz (Kristiana) Crosthwait, Cailin (Erik) Halvorson, Kiley (Louis) Lee, Angelo Stege, Adam (Ashlee) Stege, Chelsea Dryer, Kelsey Stege, Melissa (the late Joshua) Filsinger, Matthew Stenborg; treasured great grandfather of Louis Lee, Jordan Lee, Aeron Stege, and Aaden Brinkman; dearest brother of Jan Adams, Amber Zuchowski, and the late James Blankenship. Jerry was a dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.  

Jerry loved camping, deer hunting, fishing, and rooting on his favorite sports teams the St. Louis Cardinals and the Rams.  He was a hard worker and a great provider for his family.  He worked for Wagner Electric for more than 25 years with Local Union 1104 as a machinist, and more than 20 years for Lindenwood University as security/maintenance/locksmith keying all the door rooms. 

Jerry was well liked by his friends and fellow colleagues.  He never knew a stranger.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  Rest in peace Dad. 

Memorial contributions may be made in Jerry's name to American Stroke Foundation.
