Jerry “Sam” Baucom
April 15, 1934 — June 14, 2018
Jerry “Sam” Baucom, of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the age of 84. Loving husband of the late Audrey E. Baucom; beloved son of the late Omar and Sarah Dorothea Baucom; devoted father of John (Ellen) Baucom, Jeri Baucom and the late Jay Baucom; cherished grandfather of TJ Baucom, Tyler Baucom, Emma Derrington, and Meg Derrington; dear brother of Bill (Mary) Baucom; brother-in-law of Jane Baucom. Loved by many other family and friends. Jerry is preceded in death by his siblings; Donna Diefenbach and Dick Baucom.
Sam proudly served his country in the United States Army. He loved being outside and was an avid golfer. He loved Elvis, the St. Louis Cardinals, Mizzou sports and especially college basketball. Sam said he could sell anything and spent time the last portion of his sales career as the owner of the Mad Hatters company in Aurora, MO. Sam was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jerry’s honor to the American Diabetes Association or Zion Lutheran Church.
