Jerry West

Jerry West, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of the late Sharon West; cherished son of the late Hugh Lee and Catherine West. Devoted father of Richard (Lori) West, Scott (Lisa) West, and Kevin (Pam) West; loving grandfather of Anthony West, Megan West, Tyler West, Lillian West, Jarred West, Colin West, Hailey West, Gabby West, and Mason West; loving great grandfather; dear brother of Suzie West, Brenda (Terry) Signaigo, and Patricia (Don) Conner.

Jerry proudly served as a private in the United States Marine Corps. He spent his life as a dedicated salesman, enjoying every moment spent with people -- his true passion. Jerry's greatest achievements were his relationships; he had countless friends and never made an enemy. He loved making people smile and had a knack for tinkering, whether it was around the house or with cars. His favorite was the Corvette, which he eventually owned. Jerry worked in maintenance for the Francis Howell School District for many years, where he was beloved by all. This job allowed him to tinker and socialize, so it was the best of both worlds. Known as the jokester in any room, Jerry had a special affection for his grandchildren. He was deeply involved in his family's lives, from camping trips and leading Cub Scouts to coaching their sports teams. Jerry was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
