Jewell Ilene Rigg

Jewell Ilene Rigg, of Maryland Heights, MO, passed away at the age of 90 on Saturday, April 4, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Rigg Jr.; her parents, Herschel and Bernice Scruggs; and her sister, Leora Scrivner.

Jewell is survived by her children, Larry (Michelle) Rigg and Brenda (Tom) Compas; her grandchildren, Christine (Zach) Boyle, Brianne Rigg, Sherry Compas, and Heather (Chad) Temple; her great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Myles; and her sisters, Bonnie Lamar, Donna (George) Vernon, and Vera Smith.

Jewell was a devout member of Fee Fee Baptist Church in Bridgeton, MO. She was an avid reader always making her way through a good book of religious or family literature. Jewell loved maintaining a lovely home through tending to her flower garden, cooking up a delicious meal, or making something beautiful with her needlework. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
