Jim Chapman, of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at the age of 71. Beloved husband of 52 years to Ramona Chapman; devoted father of Tammy Chapman and Tiffany (Brad) Fruend; loving grandfather of Allie, Mikayla, Brady, and Zacary; dear brother of Connie Fornkohl. Jim is preceded in death by his parents Harley and Lois Chapman and his brothers, Lester and Lonnie.
Jim was a member of the Local 1 IBEW for over 40 years and worked for Emerson Electric and McDonnell Douglas/Boeing where he retired after 30 plus years. He was also part of the Sheriff's Underwater Rescue and Recovery squad for St. Charles County during the 1973 flood and 1993 flood. He taught electrical courses at Lewis and Clark Technical College and owned a heating and cooling company called J & R Heating and Cooling. In his spare time, he enjoyed being a cattle farmer in Millersville and Scopus Missouri and fishing and hunting. Most of all, his greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jim will be remembered as being a kind, loving and caring person and will be missed by all who knew him.
