Jim Mitchell

Jim Mitchell, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of 44 wonderful years to Linda Mitchell; cherished son of the late Charles and Nonie Mitchell; devoted father of James (Tanya) Mitchell, Jr. and Tanya (Kevin) Kaczor; loving grandfather of Kailey Luce, Taryn Kaczor, Kerra Kaczor, Trevor Kaczor, and Kaitlyn Mitchell; dear brother of Carol (Barry) Trachtenberg and brother-in-law of Peter Sikinger, Robert O'Donnell, and Bea Lucie. Jim was also preceded in death by his siblings Charles Mitchell, Jr., Nonie Loehr, Dorrial O'Donnell, and Veve Sikinger.

Jim will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He had a lifelong love of softball and was the proud founder of “The Slams”, a senior softball team where he also served as Commissioner. He also generously volunteered his time for many years with the Tax Assistance Program. In his younger years he greatly enjoyed swimming and recalled fondly his summers spent serving as a lifeguard. Most of all, he enjoyed creating memories with his family and crafting fun masterpieces with his treasured granddaughter. Jim was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
