Jim Nicolay

Nicolay, Jim, of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri, died on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the age of 82. Loving husband of Veronica Nicolay NEE: LaVelle; beloved son of the late James Arthur and Julia Helen Nicolay; devoted father of Mary (Stan) Hogan and James (Pamela) Nicolay; cherished grandfather of Amy Nicole (Joseph) Armour, Michelle Elizabeth Taylor, Jennifer Veronica (Andrew) Haferkamp, Nicholas James Mertens, Abigail Louise Nicolay and Jillian Veronica Nicolay; treasured great-grandfather of Joseph Allan Armour, Allison Catherine Armour, Daniel James Taylor, Ella Mary Haferkamp, and Sophia Veronica Haferkamp; dear brother of Joann Thiemet, Margaret Louise (Milton) Downs, Martin (Phyllis) Nicolay, Michael (Kathy) Nicolay, Phillip Nicolay, Robert Nicolay, and brother-in-law of George Spaeth, Martin (Mary Ann) LaVelle and Michael (Mertis) LaVelle; dear uncle, godfather, cousin and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Dolores Spaeth and Barbara (Patrick) Moynihan; brother-in-law, Joseph Thiemet; sister-in-law, Joan Nicolay.
Jim was a Laclede Gas Union Rep and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's, Salvation Army or Pink Sisters of Mount Grace Convent.
SERVICES:
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles MO.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 12:00 PM at the Baue Funeral and Memorial Center Chapel, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles MO.
