Joan Clare Horstmann
August 17, 1935 — April 12, 2020
Joan Clare Horstmann of Weldon Spring, MO, passed away at the age of 84 on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Esther Horstmann; and her sister-in-law, Lois Horstmann.
Joan is survived by her brother, Richard Horstmann; her nieces, Judy Johnson and Kathleen Branahl; her cousin, Debbie Irwin; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews.
A faithful and devout Christian, Joan was formerly a member of Marcus Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir, and later belonged to Grace Lutheran Chapel where she was a member of the Altar Guild. After graduating from Lutheran High Central in St. Louis, Joan, at age 18, began her career at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and continued there until retiring.
Joan enjoyed the time she spent with family. She also enjoyed traveling with friends. She was a longtime resident of Breeze Park in St. Charles, MO, and enjoyed community life there. Joan found many familiar faces at Breeze Park and made new friends there as well. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
