Joan Gust

Joan Gust of Portage Des Sioux, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at the age of 76. Beloved wife of 54 years to Kenneth E. Gust; cherished daughter of the late Milton and Agnes Scholer; devoted mother of Cindy (Ron) Monahan, Tim Gust, Jeff (Nicole) Gust, and Jennifer Gust; loving grandmother of Tyler Gust, Adam Gust, Aaron Gust, Claire Gust, Ben Gust, and Charlotte Gust; and dear relative and friend to many others.

Joan was known for her sense of humor. She had great comedic timing, always causing laughter where ever she went, and a sharp tongue. She enjoyed reading and visiting the local movie theater to see the latest releases. Joan loved her family above all else, including her friends, and loved sharing wonderful meals together. She also enjoyed being outdoors, often taking a small camping or fishing trips to relax. She adored cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals as well. Joan was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Joan’s name to Shriner's Hospital.
