Whitman, Joan I. (NEE:Vollmer), of Wentzville, Missouri, died on Monday, January 14, 2013 at the age of 80. Loving wife of Robert C. Whitman; beloved daughter of the late Vitalis and Beatrice Vollmer; devoted mother of Ann F. (Joseph) Meuth and Ty R. (Jennifer) Whitman; dear sister of Dorothy (Robert) Zerjav; cherished grandmother of Crystal (Brad) Lindsey, Scott (Rebecca) Whitman, Sara Whitman, Nancy (Alex) Messina, and Jacob Meuth; treasured great-grandmother of Savannah, Carley, and Dakota. She is preceded in death by her daughter Lee C. Kirn. Memorials may be made to St. Theodore School, St. Dominic or Susan G. Komen.
