Joan Jeanette Maher

Joan Jeanette Maher, of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Tuesday December 19, 2017, at the age of 85.  Loving wife of 39 years to the late Edward John Maher; beloved daughter of the late Charles Robert and Adella Sophia Barrett; devoted mother of Dirk Maher and Darryl (Yumi) Maher.  She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Martha Toben, June Kolb, Marguerite Shugart, Mildred Miles, John Emmett Barrett, Ronald Barrett, and Pat Barrett.  Joan is also survived by her grandpuppies, Murphy and Momo.

Joan retired after more than 26 years at McDonnell Douglas as a Human Resource Rep.  She was a member of Labadie United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed camping with her family, and spending time on the family farm in Labadie, Missouri.  She looked forward to boating at Lake of the Ozarks with her son in the summer.  Joan also enjoyed gardening and flowers, and her favorite time of the year was celebrating Christmas with her family.  She was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
