Joan M. Ketterer

Ketterer, Joan M., (nee: Swedo) of Lake Saint Louis, MO, was fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at the age of 77. Loving wife of Leonard Ketterer; beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Swedo; devoted mother of Arlene Johnson, Paul (Victoria) Ketterer, Dan (Regina) Ketterer, Nancy (Dan) Scherer, and Chuck (Jill) Ketterer; cherished grandmother of Alex Johnson, Katya Johnson, Danielle Ketterer, Dustin (Amanda) Scherer, and Kayla Scherer; and treasured great-grandmother of Isabelle Koch Joan is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister Judith Jackson.

Joan was a founding parishioner of St. Gianna Catholic Church, and an active member for 10 years. At the age of 30, Joan went back to school and received her Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science. She worked as the Human Resources Manager at both Missouri Baptist and Barnes Jewish for 15 years, but she took the most pride in raising her children. Joan loved spending time with her family and friends and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
