Joan McMullen

McMullen, Joan (Nesibitt) Our beloved mother and grandmother passed from this life peacefully with her family at her bedside on Monday, August 1, 2011. Her loving husband of 50 years, Dale H McMullen, her parents and one brother preceded her in death. She leaves behind a sister, Peggy helms of Keokuk, Iowa; daughter, Barbara “Bobbi” Morgan and husband Larry of St Charles, Mo; her son Dale R. McMullen of Lake Dallas, Texas; grandsons Dale Morgan and wife Kelly, Cody Morgan and wife Brandi of Moscow Mills, Mo.; Joshua McMullen and wife Jacque of North Carolina and three great Grandsons; Dale R Morgan, Seth Morgan and Wyatt Morgan; nieces and nephews. Born in Knox City, Missouri, on February 15, 1933 to Ray Francis Nesbitt and Iva (Small) Nesbitt. Joan lived a long and meaning full life. She worked as a teachers aide for the Orchard Farm School District in St. Charles, MO for 25 years before retiring in 1993. She and her husband Dale enjoyed a large circle of friends. They traveled as a group on many vacations over the years to exotic places. Joan was an avid Cardinal baseball fan. She loved watching the games on television and occasionally getting to travel to away games. Joan had an delightful sense of humor and loved telling jokes and making people laugh. Her family meant everything to her and she enjoyed having them around her. She was the heart of this family and will be missed more than we can measure. God’s peace upon her.
