Joan Marie Mueller

Joan was born in St Charles MO, a graduate of Duchesne High School and member of the Catholic Church. She met and married her love, Frank S Mueller in 1965. Together, they raised their sons in New Melle, MO. She was so proud of her boys! She died on December 13, 2023 at Delmar Gardens in Meramec Valley after years of living with a diagnosis of dementia.

She was preceded in death by her father Joseph T and Marcella Potter (ne Heller), her sister Mary (Larry) Crowell (ne Potter), and her husband, Frank S. Mueller.

Joanie has a loving family who will miss her. She had three sons  Joseph C Mueller and wife Deborah (ne Mennemeier), Michael M Mueller and wife Karen (ne Ahlers), and Daniel J Mueller and wife Michelle (ne Shields);  8 grandchildren Sophie Reineri (Ethan), Colin Mueller (Megan), Ellen Mueller,  Nick Mueller, Jake Mueller (Justine), Cameron Mueller, Ryan Mueller, Lindsey Mueller, and 2 Great-grandchildren Parker and Griffin Reineri; her brothers, Thomas(Jane) Potter and Timothy Potter sister,  Susan (Neil) Saettele (ne Potter), brother in law Larry Crowell  and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joan worked as a secretary before becoming a full time homemaker. She then gave 15+ yrs at KFC after the boys were grown.  She loved sports of all kinds, motorcycles, racing, playing cards with friends, game nights, hummingbirds, animal friends, and dinners with the family.

Joanie made friends wherever she went. Her smile and laugh were a delight to see. Even when life was more difficult and her memory was failing, her nursing care team referred to her as fun loving, sweet, and feisty! She lived with joy, a want to help, and zest for life!
