Joan Orf

Joan Miriam Orf (nee Cova), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late Robert Orf; beloved daughter of the late Marie and Louis Cova; devoted mother of Connie (Colby) Braye, Sharon (Tony) Vitale, Denise (Roger) Tayloe, and Linda (Mark) Bauer; cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Dan) Taylor, Patrick (Kelly) Orf, Melissa Vitale, Nicholas (Bridget) Bauer, Adam (Ashley) Tayloe, Kayla (Mikie) Ribaudo, Allison (Adam) Kratzer, and Alec Tayloe; treasured great-grandmother of Nora, Laine, Eve, Isabel, Lydia, Natalie, Ellie, Victor, Charlotte, and Clyde; dear sister of John (Linda) Cova. Joan is also preceded in death by her son, David (Mary, living) Orf; and grandchildren, Christopher Vitale and Bobby Orf.

Joan, a devoted family person, was known for her deep love and commitment to her family. She enjoyed simple pleasures like playing cards with friends and family, staying connected with her social circle, and engaging in sports during her high school years. Whether it was a game of bingo, a round of horseshoes, or a day on the golf course, Joan found joy in various activities. She was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Joan's cooking skills added a special touch to family gatherings, making her a beloved figure. Her genuine connections and warm spirit left a lasting impression on those around her, and she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joan's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
