Joan M. Quagliata (nee Selover), July 21, 1930 — September 5, 2022

Joan Mildred Quagliata (nee Selover), of Florissant, Missouri, age 92, passed away on September 5, 2022.  Born on July 21, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Philip V. Selover and the late Gertrude Selover (nee Berding).  She is preceded in death by her husband John V. Quagliata and her son Michael Quagliata.  She was married to her loving husband John for 69 years. Loving mother of the late Michael (Victoria) Quagliata, Richard (Lauren) Quagliata, Garry Quagliata, Lawrence (the late Dana) Quagliata, Lori (Richard) Parks, Karen (Jessica) Quagliata. Dear grandmother of Andrew, Kathy, John, Timothy, Shawn, Lynelle, Joseph, Grayson.  Dear Great-Grandmother of Lucy, Caleb, Mary, Judah, Haley.

Joan was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Dellwood and later St. Norbert Church in Florissant. Joan was a stay home mom and later worked in the lab at her nephew’s business. She loved playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, bingo, and watching horse races and going to Vegas with her sisters. She had a fun-loving close bond with her sisters. She loved decorating her house to match the various seasons and holidays. Many of her decorations were ceramics she hand-painted herself. She loved reading, especially a good mystery. As a mom, Joan made sure her children had the best life possible, always making her children's friends feel comfortable and welcomed in her small home. Later in life her love for her grandkids and great grandkids had no bounds. Joan was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
