Joan Roberta Munro Martin
July 7, 1935 — March 24, 2018
Joan Roberta Munro Martin of St. Louis, Missouri, passed Saturday, March 24, 2018, at the age of 82. Devoted mother of John Martin and Robert (Annette) Martin; loving grandmother of Sarah Nicole Martin and Carly Elizabeth Martin; dear sister of Phillip (Carolyn) Munro; beloved Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews; and dear friend to many. Joan is preceded in death by her parents Conway and Roberta Munro and brother John A. Munro.
Over many years, Joan lovingly cared for 130 children, of whom many returned as adults to stay in touch with her. Joan was extremely creative and a very talented artist and poet. She also held a tremendous love for animals, especially dogs. She will be remembered dearly for her dedication and immense love as a mother, honorary mother, and caretaker, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association in Joan’s memory.
