Joan Theresa Pieper

Pieper, Joan Theresa of O'Fallon, MO, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Thursday December 18, 2014, at the age of 82. Loving wife of Ralph H. Pieper; beloved daughter of the late Henry and Paulina Sommer; devoted mother of Kenneth (Lynette) Pieper and James Pieper; cherished grandmother of Brittany (Colin) McElroy, Megan Pieper, the late Joan Aline, Grant Pieper, Jason Pieper and Garrett Pieper; treasured aunt of thirty-one nieces and nephews, and forty-four great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sisters Leona (Alex) Feldewert, Hedwig (Edward) Hancock, Frances Sommer (a sister of the Precious Blood order), Dorothy (Joseph) Orf, Alice (Paul) Vermette and Delores (Alfred) Salfen, and brothers Cletus Sommer, Urban (Betty) Sommer, Paul Sommer, and Bernard (Lucille) Sommer.
Joan was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, St. Philippine Duchesne K of C Auxiliary, Red Hats, Luv and Hugs, O'Fallon K of C Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, O'Fallon Historical Society, and Assumption Parish 50+ club.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Assumption Building Fund or Siteman Cancer Center.
