Joann Rico

Joann Rico of St. Charles, MO, passed Saturday, August 4, 2018, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of Raymond L. Rico; cherished daughter of the late Harold and Katherine Julian; devoted mother of Raymond (Joanna) Rico III, Rhonda (Leon) Laux, Jodi (Jerry) Petersen, and Mimi (Danny) Hallgren; loving grandmother of 14; treasured great-grandmother of many; dear sister of Betty Sage, Marolyn (Harley) Pepmeier, David Julian, and Janet (David) Horrom. Joann was also preceded in death by 7 siblings.

Joann was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 312 of St. Charles. Her passion in life was to care for others and she deeply loved tending to her family. She cherished the moments spent with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that allowed them to create many lasting memories. When she wasn’t spending precious time with her loved ones she was either found reading or tending to her flower gardens and tomato vines. She also enjoyed traveling and taking the occasional bus tour. Joann was dearly loved in return and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
