Joe M. Stiens

Joseph Stiens, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018, at the age of 50. Loving husband of Peggy S. Stiens; beloved son of Joseph J. Stiens and the late Susan Stiens; devoted father of Josie A. (Tyler Hutchcroft) Stiens and Jacob T. Stiens; and dear brother of Kathy (Brian) Langlois. He was a loving uncle, cousin, brother-in-law, and friend to many.

Joe was a man of few words, but had no shortage of deep thoughts and feelings. He loved fiercely and quietly and all those on the receiving end of that love will miss him immensely. A lifelong outdoorsman, Joe was most at home in nature. He spent many years hunting and fishing. His favorite hobby was hunting for treasure with his metal detectors. His excitement for finding old coins and other treasures was matched only by his genuine interest in researching and learning their origins. He delighted countless people when he was successful in reuniting owners with their lost items. His generous and loving heart changed the lives of many.
