Joella Fern Smith

Joella Fern Smith (nee Huckeba) left us and went to the house of our Lord on July 1, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents; father, Jessie Jackson Huckeba Sr., mother, Alma Jane Bryant Huckeba; sister, Peggy Case, brother, Jessie Jackson Huckerba Jr., and son, Daniel Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory is her husband, Donald Lee Smith; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Fisher, sons, Donald Lee Smith Jr., Todd Michael Smith; six grandchildren, three girls and three boys, and seven great-grandchildren, 4 girls and 3 boys; and two sisters, Joyce Martin and Judy Meredith.

Joella was born August 8, 1942, in Southgate California. She married her husband, Donald in March of 1960. They had a beautiful marriage of 61 years plus she blessed him with one daughter and three sons. She mainly stayed home and raised her children but did work in various fields of employment but mainly was a receptionist. She loved to quilt and made many which she gave many as gifts on her favorite holiday, Christmas.

Memorials may be made in Joella's name to Alzheimer’s Association.
