John & Alice Matthews

Alice G. Matthews (nee Anderson), age 87, passed away March 29, 2021. She was preceded in death (only two months ago) by her loving husband of 66 years, John Matthews. As the years went by, they became inseparable and it is only fitting that they were so quick to reunite. Alice is survived by sons: John Jr. (Mimi), David (Bonnie), and Jeff (Chris), Five grandchildren: Jason (Angie), Alicia (Dan) James, Thomas (Karalynn), and Katie (Jake) Schaub, and six great-grandchildren; Lily, Bailey, Gus, Juliette, and Francesca. She was the centerpiece of our family and she is deeply missed.

In addition to his adoring wife, he is survived by sons: John Jr. (Mimi), David (Bonnie), and Jeff (Chris), Five grandchildren: Jason (Angie), Alicia (Dan) James, Thomas (Karalynn), and katie (Jake) Schaub, and six great-grandchildren; Lily, Bailey, Gus, Juliette, and Francesca. John worked as a precision machinist for McDonnel Douglas/Boeing, UMSL, and Monsanto. He had a passion for life, family, warm weather. His friendly humor will be missed by all.
