John C. Cummings, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at the age of 87 Years. Beloved husband of 63 wonderful years to Barb Cummings; cherished son of the late John Ambrose and Ida Mae Cummings; devoted father of Michael John (Becky) Cummings, Daniel Greg (Cheryl) Cummings, Karen Ann (Billy) Clift, and Tina Jean (Mark) Alexander; loving grandfather of Brian Cummings (Amanda Lantrip), Daniel Cummings (Cheryl Pederson), Tanya (Robert) Hammett, Lacey Cummings, Lindsay (Jason) Rogers, Alan Cummings and Emily Alexander; treasured great-grandfather of 15; cherished great-great-grandfather of 6; dear brother of the late Lorraine Pfeiffer and the late Liberty Marie Bova. John is also survived by his special friend, Don Williams.

John proudly served his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post 5077, and enjoyed spending time with his military buddies. He was also a highly skilled carpenter, and had been a member of Carpenters Local 73 for 42 years. In his free time, John enjoyed hunting and golfing, but nothing was as important to him as his beloved family. John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and will be remembered for his unconditional love for his family. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
